Going Open Loop

Postby Oz1200Guzzi » Wed Jan 11, 2012 12:38 am

Does anyone know the exact throttle % and/or the RPM when the Magneti Marelli ECU goes from closed to open loop. This is on a 1200 Sport (2 Valve).

Thanks for any advice...
Regards,

Tony

You'd probably need to tie the map to load to get exsct. I can give you *approximates* that's all.

Useful idea?
A led going on when closed loop and off when open loop? To help on consumption/range when cruising.
Based on rpm / tps values.

Pete,

approximates would be useful - better than the guess-o-metric system

Using the data from Power Commander, their 02 Optimizer controls from 0 to 20%. Since it uses the sensor for feedback this may be a good guess for stock.

The PC handles from 40% up, which is close to where it goes closed to open.

On the 2v Norge Power Commander V fuel table the closed loop area is 40% TPS x 5500rpm which is over 50% of the overall table. Therefore the PC-V has influence only on the remainder. No wonder the Optimizer is added to the package to have some impact on the large closed loop area, albeit with a fairly fixed value.
Where the PC-V does work (open loop) it is mostly telling the injectors to add less fuel not more on this base map.
