2006 Breva V1100 Dashboard Code ExplanationsOver my threes years of owning a Guzzi and being my primary means of transportation i have figured out that understanding the codes displayed through the dash have been fruitless. The poor thing started just stalling out on me so i checked the codes. And its Immobilizer fault:internal error.Any help is Appreciated.Just did a tune up and adjusted the valves 800 miles ago if that helps
Re: 2006 Breva V1100 Dashboard Code ExplanationsThe antenna is the usual culprit with an immobilizer fault in that the dash doesn't recognize the chip in the key. In these cases the system will ask for a user code to enable the bike. Since you didn't say it asks for a code, it may be more complicated in that it may be an intermittent fault in the dashboard itself that will probably require replacement of the dash. You may need to take it to a dealer for resolution.

Re: 2006 Breva V1100 Dashboard Code ExplanationsI have found the problem BAD GAS from the station.Somebody owes me some gas it smells water downed. And i was wondering can i drain the tank by disconnecting the fuel line and jumping out the fuel pump relay?i hate taking off the tank cause it can be a pain in a butt getting back on by yourself.
Re: 2006 Breva V1100 Dashboard Code ExplanationsIt would probably be easier to siphon out as much as you can, then add good premium fuel with ethanol. The alcohol in the fuel should pick up what water is left and get it out of your system.

Re: 2006 Breva V1100 Dashboard Code ExplanationsEven though ethanol (alcohol & even metholated spirit) will readily mix and combine with water, I've been told by a friend who has worked in the fuel industry all his life, that there is no injector on the planet that responds well when H2o is present in the fuel.
Engines may like water injection, but it is always introduced via other means than fuel/injectors. Plastic fuel tanks can also be affected by ethanol, I would flush the system, change the filter and purge the pump and refill with the highest octane non-ethanol fuel I could obtain. Aussie's Note: From next week NSW state legislation requires all 91 octane fuel to contain at least 10% alcohol. I'd rather ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow. But the older I get the faster I was.

Inside the fuel tank. I suggest trying the easy route first, what I suggested. If it doesn't clear up in a couple hundred miles, then go into it. No point in driving a tack with a sledge hammer. John Zibell
