speed sensor

Need to find the speed sensor that runs the speedometer on my norge 8V. I'm adding cruise control and don't know where to hook up the speed input wire.
Anyone know where it is? The wiring diagrams don't show it.

On the 4 valve CARC models, the speed sensor is on the RH fork leg. Can't see why it would move, but I've learnt to assume nothing.

The Norge is ABS equipped, and they use one of the ABS pickups as a speed sensor. Unless they have taken a backward step on the 8 valve.
Don't know if you can mess with that without screwing up the ABS.

Just check but there is an earlier post about putting an electronic cruise control on the 4v Norge (posted by Seb) which I also did. Thanks Seb a great job. Didn't need to connect to the speed sensor but generally all to the ecu loom. Maybe different with your control unit but who knows
