Stelvio Lamp Relay and new map for '59 reg

Postby Ray1150 » Thu Jan 26, 2012 4:20 pm

Just treated myself to aux lamps from Ed at Haywards, however the relay is out of stock at MG. Before I ring round the dealers to see if anyone has one in stock does anyone know if there is a generic Bosch or similar branded part that fits?

Ed also mentioned that there is a new map available for my late 2009 stelvio, has anyone tried it?
Cheers

Not sure on the relays. I can tell you that relays out of the Cali bikes fit in there. That was what I used.

As far as I know, the newest map was 52. I am not aware of a newer one, but that does not mean there isn't one. Anyway, I was advised by others about it and had the dealer install it before I took delivery. I am told the mileage is better and the fueling is better. I never had the old so I can't compare.

The relays are generic. Just take othe one next to it to an auto-electrical supplierand pick one up.

Thanks guys.
I'll find out the map number, but better MPG wouldn't hurt.
I tried the local car shop for a generic relay with no joy. I'll have a look on -line now I know what I'm looking for.
Called Moto-Corsa in the end, very helpful spares bloke who is posting me a relay from stock.(tel 01202 823 453)
Got the bracket fitted over the weekend. Not even close to fitting out of the box, after giving it a good seeing to with a hammer I got it fitted but then one lamp touches the fairing and the other is 20mm away! Bent it forward using a long bit of pipe. Just as well they're not directional beam lights!

Not sure this will help, but I just went to the closest auto part store and asked for a Dodge Caravan fuel pump relay as mentioned below. Worked fine.

NAPA # AR606SB, '98 Dodge Caravan (the first make/model that popped up on their computer) fuel pump relay. or get one from pyro dan. http://www.dpguzzi.com/ this car make and model is the one I have. very reliable. I believe I won't have any problems now that I own one. ...
