New to Guzzi

Postby bomaizey » Fri Nov 25, 2011 1:29 pm

Hello everyone!

I am a new Stelvio owner, I purchased a left-over 2009 form GP motorcycles in San Diego. I have about 1400 miles on it so far, lots of commuting to Oxnard and LA... I have yet to figure out the windscreen, I'm 6'5" and the buffeting can be intense. I ordered a larger windscreen from MG Cycle so we'll see if that helps out. Thankfully I had an Airhawk from back in my Multistrada years, it is a must have for any type of distance riding on the Stelvio. The right hand mirror is pretty useless at speed so I may try the Euro conversion, I have read that that seems to help.Overall I love the bike and plan on keeping it for some time, it seems to be a great compliment to my Ducati ST3. The Stelvio is like a big go anywhere SUV.

Hope to see some of you out and about!

My right-hand mirror vibrated completely loose -- had to duct-tape it while waiting for the Euro conversion. Euro turnsignals are brighter also. I'd also recommend Todd's ECU reflash and PCV/AT installation.

Congrats and welcome to the fold!

If you are in L.A., stop by and say Hi. Happy to get you up to speed with things to make your Stelvio go/stop/turn much better then you could ever imagine - thanks Mike!

Post again/often.

San Marcos-as in near Escondido? And you drive up to LA & Oxnard on a regular/weekly basis? Sure hope they pay you enough to make it worth your while. Not something I would care to do.
