Synthetic gearbox oil ?

Hi all,
I have just read an article in Wild Guzzi stating that synthetic gearbox oil could be responsible for bearings with plastic housings to fail.
Iam about to renew the gearbox and CARC oil on my Griso 1100 with synthetic oil, should i be worried ?

Not an issue, The plastic carriers are not used anymore.

They were used in 5 speed boxes.
