Griso 1200 Track Day in Calgary

Wow, what a surprise! Took my new 2011 Griso out for a lapping yesterday.
At this point my bike is completely stock with the exception of I swapped out the Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires for some Diablo Rosso Corse. To be honest I not sure how the Scorpion's would have handled it but the Rosso Corse's were absolutely awesome. My goal was to see how well the bike would turn to try and achieve maximum lean angles and I did not want the stock tires to hinder that or risk loosing the front-end.

There is no question down the front straight I was one of the slowest guys out there but in the Novice group I was one of the fastest through the turns. There are two corners that are really tight that were a challenge because I was rubbing the side stand but if my rpm's were right I would carry great speed out of the corners.

Now there is a long front straight and the 8,000 rpm's just arrived a little to fast. There is a long right hand sweeper that I found myself shifting through mid to later corner where normally on a sport bike I would ride it out.

It was truly awesome, about 50% of the riders came over to take a closer look at my bike because they could not believe how well it handled. Once again I can say enough about the Rosso Corse tires. I have total confidence in them. Went from the tire shop to the track which is about 3 miles in traffic and one moderate lap then it was halling ass from there on.

A friend of mine on a Diavel had a gopro camera. I will attach a link once I up load on to youtube.
The Diavel dominates on the front and back straight. Griso wins in the corners.

If anyone knows of an eliminator kit I would greatly appreciate that.
