Axone instructions for the handicapped.

Postby pete roper » Mon Dec 14, 2009 12:22 am

I nearly had this done and then wiped the message so this will be short and terse.

Many dealers are either scared or ignorant of how to re-map bikes using Axone or Navigator. This shits me to tears and is inexcusable so here are some simple instuctions.

Refer to the previous Axone Tuning message for 'How to Connect to the Bike' if you are terrified of a small plastic box.

Rather than going to 'Petrol Injection go to 'Reprogramming and press enter.

Use the + or - button to go to the next page. See? two maps.

Choose the one with the later #

Hit enter and you get this.

Now I'm not allowed to disclose the password on pain of never being allowed to pee again and having battery acid poured into my eyes so I'll show you this very interesting picture of the slot on the side of the axone the memory card that contains the map goes in to.

Once you have inseted the 'Incredibly Secret Code' that is available on many places on the net so I don't know what all the fuss is about you get this screen. Do what it fuckin' says and you'll be right!

Image

Not too challenging yet??

Image

OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!! YOU'VE WIPED THE MAP!!!!!

Image

Phew!!! Perhaps I should change my underpants!!!!

Image

Bugger me! It's still doing it! perhaps I won't loose my house

OOOO! Lookee! another instruction. Roughly translated this means turn off the tool. Wait 30 Seconds. Turn off the bike. Turn it on again, re-set the TPS and Parameters as listed in the Petrol Injection' post. Disconnect the tool, disconnect the auxilliary battery. Put the cap back on the ECU interface plug. Put seat back on.

Fire 'er up and see what happens on a test ride.

It is neither HARD or DIFFICULT or RISKY unless you are a piece of microcephalic pond slime with the intelect of a bacterium.

Have a nice day!

Pete

Thank you, these are great "pictorials" you're putting together.

Cheers

Oh, one thing that IS relevent to this thread.

If you are using the PCV-Autotune with 'pooter reflash as supplied by Todd you should NOT remap the ECU using Axone or Navigator as it will overwrite Todd's changes and you'll have to get it done again by him.
